Hatha Yoga -
classes offer participants to take part in a “hatha” (physical)
based discipline at his/her own comfort level, respecting one’s own
body limitations and abilities. Each session explores the interplay
between breath, mind, and body while implementing universal
alignment principles of the body’s structure. Smaller class sizes
allow participants to experience the wholeness of asana practice
while under the watchful eye of a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT- Yoga
Alliance), ensuring proper technique and safety. Though most
students prefer to use their own mats, we do have them available as
well as other needed props.
Kundalini Yoga - a sacred science that balances your glandular system, stengthens your nervous system and creates peace of mind. It was brought to North America by Yogi Bhajan, the master of Kundalini Yoga, in 1969. Before this, it was taught only in oral tradition passed from master to student over years of study. It's called the Yoga of Awareness, making you, quite literally, aware, of what is going on in your mind body, body and soul.
Located in the Village of New Albany,is a 600 square foot rustic gathering place situated in the upper loft level of a turn-of-the-century buggy barn. With early twentieth century original post and beam features, it offers a simple ambiance harkening back to earlier times. Reclaimed wood and recycled materials give the studio its unique character. Atypical amenities include a dressing room with an eco-friendly waterless, incinerating bathroom unit on the first floor. *If more typical amenities are needed, the farmhouse may also be used Most students bring their own mats to class, however, we do provide them if you prefer one of ours. We ask that you show the courtesy of wiping down studio mats after use. (Non-toxic, earth friendly cleaning solution provided)
